Benjamin Lahusen, born 1979 in Stuttgart, studied law in Tübingen, Lausanne, Berlin (HU) and New York (Columbia). Doctoral candidate at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History (Frankfurt a.M.), legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal. 2020 to 2023 Head of the office of the Advisory Commission on Nazi Looted Property; 2021 habilitation at the HU Berlin, since 2021 Professor of Civil Law and Modern Legal History at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder).
