Within the DFG Priority Programme 2357 – “Jewish Cultural Heritage”, the tandem project of Bet Tfila Braunschweig and the DHI Warsaw is being funded for a second phase (2025-2028). The previous researchers Zuzanna Światowy and Dr Christhardt Henschel are continuing their work with a new project entitled: "Transformation of heritage, heritage of transformation. Synagogue buildings in contemporary Poland and the legacy of post-socialist transitions". The project continues to be led by PD Dr.-Ing, Ulrich Knufinke, Bet Tfila: Research Centre for Jewish Architecture in Europe Braunschweig and Prof. Dr. Ruth Leiserowitz, German Historical Institute Warsaw
