Histories of Violence in Central and Eastern Europe. A Comparative Perspective

The history of violence is part of the human condition. For many decades, studies have focused on statistical, military, anthropological or psycho-historical perspectives, but have largely centered on Western Europe, Asia, the USA or global history.

During our conference (Warsaw, September 15-17, 2025), we will take a closer look at Eastern and Central Europe.

The conference takes place in the Museum of Polish History in Warsaw.
