At our main site in Warsaw and our branch offices in Prague and Vilnius, numerous conferences and lectures took place, all aligned with the new research priorities. For instance, we dedicated the monthly Tuesday Lectures in Warsaw to the 80th anniversary of the end of the war in East-Central Europe (winter semester) and to urban history in the region (summer semester).
Other key priorities last year included expanding our network with research institutions in the host countries and intensifying our public relations efforts. A collaboration with the Polish weekly magazine Polityka, among other things, raised the Institute’s profile.
Among further highlights were the documentary ‘The Scattered Holocaust,’ which was broadcast on TVN, Poland’s largest private television channel, as well as numerous media appearances related to the exhibition 'Illusions of Omnipotence. Architecture and Everyday Life under German Occupation.'
