„Ludowe źródła kultury” (Folk Sources of Culture) is a series of interdisciplinary scientific conferences, which, according to our vision, should develop during subsequent editions. We want to bring together not only scientists from academic circles in Slupsk or scientists who are friends of the German Historical Institute in Warsaw around this theme. We were very keen on the participation of museologists from the Museum of Central Pomerania in Słupsk, especially the substantive staff of that unit's branch, the Museum of Pomeranian Folk Culture in Swołów. We are pleased that ethnographers, culture experts and linguists from various Polish academic and museum centres have responded positively to our initiative. We hope that future editions of our project (e.g. on music or education) will be as fruitful as what was delivered at the conference and what was intended for publication.
