New publication: Natalia Polonska-Vasylenko, Ukraine in the 18th century. Ed. Viktoriia Serhiienko

Natalia Polonska-Vasylenko (1884–1973) was one of the most famous scholars of the history of southern Ukraine in the eighteenth century, a professor at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich, primarily known for her “History of Ukraine” (first edition: 1972–1976).
“Ukraine in the Eighteenth Century” is an earlier, hitherto unpublished and virtually unknown to researchers historical synthesis by Polonska-Vasylenko, completed during World War II in 1944. This work summarizes Professor Polonska-Vasylenko’s extensive researches of the 1920s and 1930s and offers an original vision of eighteenth-century Ukrainian history.
