About
Dr. Izabela Mrzygłód is a research associate at the German Historical Institute Warsaw and collaborates with the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences on the project “Archive of Włodzimierz Borodziej.” She studied history at the University of Warsaw and, during her doctoral studies, was a scholarship holder of the OeAD at the University of Vienna, the National Science Centre (ETIUDA program), and the Institute of European History in Mainz. After completing her doctorate in 2021, she worked as a research assistant at the Imre Kertész Kolleg in Jena (2011-2012) and as curator of the gallery for the interwar period of Poland at the Museum of Polish History (2015-2017). She also collaborated with the Warsaw Uprising Museum on source editions (2012-2015, 2021). She has been employed as a postdoctoral researcher since 2022 as part of the OPUS project “Documents and Bureaucracy in the Former German Territories: State Formation, Regulation, and Control in Poland and Czechoslovakia (from the 1940s to the 1970s)”. She has taught at the University of Wrocław (2021) and the University of Warsaw (2022) and has been working continuously with the IPAN “Anthropos” doctoral school since 2022.
