After completing her bachelor's degree in German language and literature and history at the University of Lille – Charles de Gaulle, Valentine Devulder went on to earn a master's degree in history at Heidelberg University (2021) and a master's degree in archival science (2022). She is currently pursuing a doctorate in contemporary history at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS). Her dissertation is entitled “Femmes enceintes internées au sein du système concentrationnaire nazi: persécutions et capacités d'agentivité au quotidien” (Pregnant women interned in the Nazi concentration camp system: persecution and agency in everyday life).
