Branch Office Vilnius
The Vilnius branch office of the German Historical Institute Warsaw was established in December 2017. It supports scholarly research on Lithuanian, German, and Polish history and the historical ties of these states within a broader European context.
The office acts as an outreach and coordination center for scholarly communication between Lithuanian and German historians as well as scholars from other countries. In cooperation with national academic institutions, the branch office in Vilnius organizes academic events and prepares scholarly publications.
Povilas Dikavičius leads the Vilnius office as of February 1, 2025.
