Nota biograficzna
Anna Grutza jest doktorantką historii porównawczej na Central European University w Wiedniu, a obecnie David Flanagan Visiting Instructor of History na Uniwersytecie Amerykańskim w Bułgarii w Błagojewgradzie. Ukończyła studia magisterskie w zakresie mediów i kulturoznawstwa na Bauhaus-Universität w Weimarze oraz studia magisterskie w zakresie europejskich studiów interdyscyplinarnych w Kolegium Europejskim w Warszawie. W 2022 r. była studentką wizytującą w Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) na Uniwersytecie Stanforda oraz OSUN Doctoral Fellow w Democracy Institute w Budapeszcie.
Jej zainteresowania badawcze obejmują historię zimnej wojny i nową historię imperialną, historię mediów oraz historię emocji, nauki, wiedzy i ignorancji. W szczególności interesuje się powiązaniami między naukami społecznymi, psychologią eksperymentalną i psychiatrią, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem komunikacji masowej, propagandy i badań opinii publicznej w perspektywie transsystemowej. Kluczowym wątkiem jej badań jest analiza transnarodowych i interdyscyplinarnych procesów zapożyczeń między „naukami psychologicznymi” a naukami społecznymi oraz wymiana między polskimi i amerykańskimi naukowcami społecznymi. Śledzi w ten sposób transfer koncepcji ze sfery laboratorium i kliniki do sfery analizy społeczeństw i polityki oraz do praktyk stosowanych w rządzie, propagandzie i wywiadzie.
W ramach stypendium “Scholar in Residence” Niemieckiego Instytutu Historycznego w Warszawie (filia w Pradze) będzie pracować nad manuskryptem pracy doktorskiej na temat “Imperial Laboratories of Governance in Disguise: Seeing Through the Grid of Cold War Information Analysis.”
